Wendell Doyce Sharp, age 69, a resident of Newhope, died Monday, Aug. 29, 2016, in Texarkana, Texas.
He was born Dec. 21, 1946, in Howard County. He was retired from Walmart and was a member of the Langley First United Methodist Church.
Funeral services were held Sept. 3 in Bissell Chapel Church with Bro. Michael Forrest officiating. Burial followed in the Bissell Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home.

Mrs. Janet Darlene Lindsey, age 67, a resident of Texarkana, died Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2016, in Texarkana, Texas.
She was born Sept. 23, 1948, in Pratt, Kan. She was a homemaker and a Baptist.

Oscar Edward "Buckshot" Barbre, age 85, a resident of Dierks, died Friday, Sept. 2, 2016, in Hot Springs.
He was born Oct. 12, 1930 in Howard County. He was a Baptist and a member of the Barbre Hunting Club.
Funeral services were held Sept. 5 at Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel in Dierks with J.W. Gilbert officiating. Burial followed in Fellowship Cemetery.

Mrs. Mittie Hendricks
Mrs. Mittie Jean Chandler Hendricks, age 79, a resident of Horatio, died Monday, Sept. 5, 2016, in a Texarkana Hospital.
She was born to Levi and Mattie Lou Ramsey Chandler in the Central Community of Sevier County on Aug. 25, 1937. She was a member of the Rose Hill Gospel Mission and a homemaker.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 10, 2016, in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel in De Queen with Bro. Bill Weeks, Bro. Ricky Hendricks and Bro. Robert Mohler officiating. Burial will follow in Old Center Cemetery under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home.

Dr. James Frank Daniel
Dr. James Frank Daniel, age 80, a resident of Taylor died Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2016, in Taylor.
He was born Nov. 19, 1935, in Fountain Hill. He practiced medicine in De Queen from 1962-1997 and served as the sport teams physician for the De Queen Schools. He was a member of the National Guard and was a Methodist.
Graveside funeral services were held Sept. 3 at Redmen Cemetery with Randy Davis officiating under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home.

She was born to Charles and Selma Danner Hudson in Kansas City, MO. on July 18, 1930. She was a retired teacher, as well as a homemaker.

She was born to Marvin O’Neal and Hazel Lee Helms Higgins in Mineral Springs on Jan. 7, 1941. She graduated from Gillham High School in 1958. 
She retired in 1997 after a 39 year career with Weyerhaeuser Company.
She was an active member of Memorial Missionary Baptist Church, where she served on the Food Committee, and Vacation Bible School Food Committee.
Funeral services were held Aug. 2 in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jason Carlton and Bro. Joe Carlton officiating. Burial followed in Redmen Cemetery.
