Bob Bush
Mr. Bobby Edward Bush, age 60, a resident of De Queen, died Tuesday, December 9, 2014 in Broken Bow, Oklahoma.

He was born July 2, 1954 in Little Rock, Arkansas. He was employed by Romine Oil Company as a manager for Water Works in Broken Bow, Oklahoma. He was an avid Arkansas Razorbacks fan and loved the Dallas Cowboys.

Mr. Bush was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Edward Bush and Ella Mae Parker Aguillar and one grandchild, Jeffrey Hinshaw.

Funeral Services for Mr. Bush will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, December 13, 2014, in the Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel. Cremation will follow.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m., Saturday at the funeral home.

Ricky Standford
Rickey Carnell Stanford, age 50, a resident of De Queen, died Wednesday, December 10, 2014, at his home.

He was born August 11, 1964 in De Queen. He was a building contractor, a born again Christian and a member of the Wickes Pentecostal Church of God.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 13, 2014, in the Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with Chris Burke officiating.

John L. King
John Leonard King, age 94, a resident of De Queen, died Friday, Dec. 5, 2014 in Texarkana, Texas.

He was born Feb. 9, 1920 at Crosstrails. He was a construction superintendent in the Dallas, Texas area for 40 years and returned to De Queen following retirement. He was a World War II Army veteran, Masonic Lodge Grand Worshipful Master and a member of The Legacy Center. He worked closely with his wife, June, while she was director of the Sevier County Museum and built the museum Heritage Village.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec.8, 2014 in the Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with Chad Gallagher officiating. Burial with Military and Masonic rites followed in Smyrna Cemetery in De Queen.

The family received friends from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 7 at the funeral home.

Thomas P. Wilson
Thomas Paul Wilson, age 72, a resident of Lockesburg, died Friday, Dec. 5, 2014 in De Queen.

He was born June 12, 1942 in Joplin, MO. He served in the U.S. Army and worked for Weyerhaeuser for 25 years and then for CCCUA until his retirement.

Graveside funeral services were held at 3 p.m., Monday, Dec. 8, 2014 in the Old Union Cemetery, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home.

Steven E. Holton
Steven E. Holton, age 66, a resident of Dierks, died Monday, Nov. 24, 2014.

He was born Aug. 12, 1948 in Auburn, WA, the son of Homer Earl Holton and Tressa Winona Tyner Holton. After 32 years of service, he retired from Weyerhaeuser in 2006. He was a volunteer and former chief of the Greenís Chapel Volunteer Fire Department.

Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 29, 2014 in the Greenís Chapel Cemetery near Dierks with Billy Golden and Pete Pedron officiating, under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood.

Visitation was held Friday, Nov. 28 from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Helen Sue Overturf Davis, age 81, a resident of De Queen, died Sunday, Dec. 7, 2014 in De Queen.

She was born Jan. 27, 1933 in Gillham. She was a homemaker and a member of the De Queen First Baptist Church.

Graveside service was held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2013 in the Overturf Cemetery with Rev. Homer Frachiseur officiating, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen.

Otis J. Powell, Sr.
Otis James Powell, Sr., age 64, a resident of De Queen, died Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2014 in the Christus St. Michael Health System in Texarkana, Texas

He was born to Jessie J. and Inez Jones Powell in De Queen on Sept. 22, 1950. He was a 1968 graduate of Horatio High School and was retired from the D&E T.O.&E. Railroad with 29 years service. He was a member of the Mt. Phoebe Baptist Church in Horatio, but attended Lewis Temple Church of God and New Zion Baptist Church.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 29, 2014 in the Lewis Temple Church of God in Christ with Rev. E.A. Edwards officiating. Burial followed in Sunset Acres, Horatio, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen.

Pedro Saldivar
Pedro Perez Saldivar, age 62, a resident of De Queen, died Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2014 in the Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock.

He was born to Ignacio Saldivar and Guadalupe Perez in Reynosa, Mexico Sept. 24, 1952. He was an employee of Pruittís Foods as their meat manager as well as owner of Pedroís Recycling.
He was a member of the St. Barbara Catholic Church, where he was a musician.

A Rosary service was held at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 28, 2014 in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel, De Queen. A funeral mass was held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 29, 2014 in St. Barbara Catholic Church with Father Juan Manjarrez officiating. Burial followed in the Biggs Chapel Cemetery near Nathan.

Billy G. Trusley
Billy Gene Trusley, age 60, a resident of Lockesburg, did Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2014 at his home.

He was born Nov. 24, 1954 in Wenatchee, WA. He was a truck driver.

Mrs. Pauline Magby
Mrs. Pauline Ruth Newton Magby, age 74, a resident of Ashdown, died Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2014 in Little River Memorial Hospital in Ashdown.
She was born May 31, 1940 in Howard County. She was retired from retail sales.

Rusty Durham
Omagene Hopkins "Rusty" Durham, age 88, a longtime resident of De Queen, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, November 25, 2014 in the De Queen Medical Center. Born January 4, 1926 in Walnut Springs, Arkansas, he was a son of the late Herbert Moss and Pearl Irene Beauchamp Durham. †

He grew up and received his education in De Queen. He was a 1944 graduate of De Queen High School.† As a young man he joined the United States Marine Corp serving in the Pacific during World War II. Returning to Arkansas he attended Arkansas Tech University.† He also served in the Korean War.

For several years he traveled extensively with his job as a salesman for Myers Pumps.† He later entered the world of politics and served as Sevier County judge for twelve years.† He was also involved in other aspects of government including city council and quorum court.

Mr. Durham was a faithful member of De Queen First United Methodist Church.† He was also a member of the De Queen Lions Club. He was an inventor and entrepreneur and an avid Leopard and Razorback fan.† He was loved and respected by his family and many friends.

A visitation will be held on Monday, December 1, 2014, from 5:00-7:00 p.m., at Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen.

A private family service will be held at a later date.

To honor Rusty Durham's memory his family requests that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the memorial fund at De Queen First United Methodist Church, 424 West Heynecker, De Queen, AR 71832.

Daniel Benito Gonzalez Juarez, age 18, a resident of Horatio, died Saturday, Nov. 22, 2014, from injuries received in an automobile accident, in Texarkana.

He was born to Regelio German Gonzalez Cortez and Fabiola Juarez Dominguez in Mexico City, Mexico on Nov. 27, 1995. He was a graduate of Horatio High School, and was a student in Texas A & M in Texarkana. He was a member of St. Barbara's Catholic Church in De Queen.

Funeral services were held 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 26 at St. Barbara Catholic Church under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home in De Queen.

Windell Lee Whisenhunt, age 73, a resident of Winthrop, died Friday, Nov. 21, 2014 in Dierks Health and Rehab.
He was born June 20, 1941 in Arkinda. He worked in sawmills and was a member of the Crossroads Baptist Church.

Wanda Satterfield
Mrs. Wanda Lou Parramore Satterfield, age 71, a resident of Gillham, died Thursday, Nov. 13, 2014 at her home after a long battle with cancer.

She was born to Leo and Naomi Faye Maynard Parramore in Lubbock, Texas on Oct. 18, 1943. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Gillham, was retired from the Sevier County Development Center, and was a homemaker.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 17, 2014 in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Bob McManus officiating. Burial followed in the Valley Cemetery, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home.

She was born to Louis and Elsie Flournoy Emerson on Feb. 12, 1932 in De Queen. She was an owner and operator of Chapel Hill Store and a homemaker.

Gola ( Sweetie) Guinn, age 99, of Mena, Arkansas passed away Sunday, November 16, 2014 in a local nursing home. She was born in Parks, Arkansas, on May 15, 1915 to the late Jeff and Martha Dooley Frost.

Gola was a devoted wife, homemaker, and faithful member of Oak Avenue Church of Christ.

Viewing is available until Thursday, November 20, 2014 at Beasley Wood Funeral Home in Mena. Funeral services will be held at the Beasley Wood at 2:00 p.m. on November 20, 2014 with Brother Drew Ratcliff officiating. James D. Davis, age 85, a resident of Lafayette, died Thursday, Nov. 6, 2014 at Wadley Regional Medical Center in Texarkana, Texas.
He was born Jan. 26, 1929 in Tupelo, Miss., the son of Morris and Dovie Dickey Davis.

Mrs. Jenette Ester Swift, age 65, a resident of Nashville, died Thursday, Nov. 6, 2014 in the St. Vincent Hospital in Hot Springs.

She was born to Rufus and Lujean Jordan Ester on Dec. 8, 1948 in Centerpoint. She was an employee of the Howard County Revenue Office, and a homemaker. She was a member of the New Testament House of Prayer in Nashville.
