Dillard Ray Stegall, age 89, a resident of Lockesburg, died Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at De Queen Therapy and Living Center in De Queen.

He was born Nov. 18, 1925 in Fulton, Miss. He served the U.S. Navy during World War II, was a mechanic and a Baptist.

Funeral services were held at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, June 20, 2015 in the Rock Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Charles Jones and Rev. John Lindsey officiating. Burial followed in the Belleville Cemetery, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home.

Mrs. Ruby Phillips
Mrs. Ruby Mae Perkins Pell Phillips, age 89, a resident of Conway and formerly of De Queen, died Saturday, June 20, 2015 in Conway.

She was born May 8, 1926 in Mounds, Okla. She was retired from Walmart in De Queen and was a member of the De Queen Church of Christ and Greenbrier Church of Christ.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 23, 2015 in the De Queen Church of Christ with Bobby Tatum officiating. Burial followed in the Odd Fellows Cemetery in Lockesburg, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home.

Mrs. Dee Todd
Mrs. Donna June "Dee" Todd, age 79, a resident of De Queen, and former resident of Tyler, Texas, died Tuesday, June 16, 2015 in the De Queen Therapy and Living Center.

She was born to Harold Clifton and Bonlyn Eugene Coleman Cranford in Talihina, Okla., on Nov. 25, 1935. She was a retired sales clerk for J.C. Penney as well as a homemaker. She was a Methodist.

Graveside memorial services will be held in the Bauscom Cemetery in Tyler, Texas on Friday, June 26 at 2 p.m. Cremation was under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen.

Brenda Williams
Brenda Joyce Williams, age 57, a resident of De Queen, died Saturday, June 20, 2015 at Baylor Regional Medical Center in Plano, Texas after a lengthy illness.

She was born April 18, 1958 in Gary, Ind., to Audy and Willie Mae Williams. She lived in De Queen all her life and was a member of New Zion Baptist Church where she served on the usher board.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 27, 2015 at New Zion Baptist Church with Rev. Carl Henderson officiating. Burial will follow in Sandhill Cemetery, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen.

Winston Mickle
Winston Duane "Buzz" Mickle, age 64, a resident of Canyonville, Ore., and former resident of Gillham, died Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at home following a lengthly illness.

He was born April 5, 1951 to Milford and Emma Lee Mickle in De Queen. He graduated from Warrenton High School in Oregon, later working as a machinist in the family's machine shop in Gillham. He was a truck driver and a shuttle bus driver in Canyonville, Ore.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 27, 2015 from 2-4 p.m. at Missionary Baptist Church in Winston, Ore.

John Mills

John T. Mills
John was born June 25, 1942 in St. Michael Hospital in Texarkana, AR to Joel Mills III and Bernice Crawford of Ben Lomond, Arkansas. He grew up in Ben Lomond attending the Ben Lomond School.

He was a 1960 graduate of Ashdown High School and graduate of Southern State College in Magnolia with a Bachelor of Science in Business in 1966. He was retired from the Air Force Reserves.

John was a member of the Catholic Church. He was also a member of the Sons of the American Revolution.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m., Friday, June 26, 2015 at St. Edwards Catholic Church with Father Paul Worm officiating. Burial will be in Ben Lomond Cemetery, Ben Lomond, AR.

Rosary will be 6 p.m. Thursday, June 25, 2015 at East Memorial Chapel - Moores Lane with visitation to follow. Services are under the direction of East Funeral Home - Moores Lane.

Vera Rebecca Parker Burton, age 50, a resident of Dierks, died Monday, June 8, 2015.
She was born Nov. 19, 1964 in Nashville. She was a C.N.A.

Johnny Waymon Brasel, age 72, a resident of Newhope, died Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at his home.

He was born Feb. 14, 1943 in Harrison and was retired from Rich Mountain Electric.

Lee Ervin Tallant, Jr., age 62, a resident of Winthrop, died Thursday, June 11, 2015 at Texarkana, Texas.

He was born Dec. 8, 1952 in De Queen. He was a self-employed carpenter and a janitor for Winthrop Schools.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 14, 2015 in the Winthrop Methodist Church with Phil Smith and Audie Dawson officiating. Burial followed in Campground Cemetery, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen.

Mrs. Dorothy Phipps
Mrs. Dorothy Lucille Gurney Phipps, age 86, a resident of De Queen, died Thursday, July 11, 2015 in the De Queen Medical Center.

She was born to Walter Sherman and Hazel Sarah Miskiminis Gurney in Sandpoint, Idaho, Oct. 21, 1928. She was a former teacher, former employee of Mountaire Poultry, a cattle rancher and poultry grower for Pilgrim, as well as a homemaker. She was an active member of the De Queen Church of Christ and a former member of the Red Hat Club.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Monday, June 15, 2015 in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel with Bobby Tatum and Tye Barnett, ministers, officiating. Burial followed in Chapel Hill Cemetery, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen.

Jesse Lynn Glover, age 55, a resident of Springdale, died Saturday, June 13, 2015 in Holly Springs, Miss.
He was born Jan. 13, 1960 in De Queen. He was a truck driver for Tyson Food.

Donald "Donnie" Ray Whisenhunt, age 61, a resident of Conway, died Saturday, June 13, 2015 in Conway Regional Medical Center in Conway.

He was born in Moscow, Idaho on Nov. 16, 1953. He worked in construction and was owner of Don's Kerr-McGee in Horatio.
He is preceded in death by his parents Verna Staggs Campbell and Pete Whisenhunt.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 16, 2015 in the Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel in De Queen. Burial followed in the Old Piney Cemetery, under direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen.

Ms. Angela Kaye Needham Hartsfield, age 43, a resident of Fayetteville, died Sunday, June 14, 2015 at her home.

She was born to Wendell and Marolyn Allen Needham in De Queen on March 9, 1972. She graduated from Baptist School of Nursing in Springdale and worked for the Washington Regional Hospital as a Registered Nurse as well as a homemaker. She was a member of Memorial Missionary Baptist Church in De Queen.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 18, 2015 in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Joe Carlton and Rev. Jason Carlton officiating. Burial will follow in the W.L. Allen Family Cemetery, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen.

Billye Jo Vaughn, a resident of Texarkana, died Tuesday, June 16, 2015.
She was born Dec. 24, 1926.

She attended several art institutes in Shreveport and Kansas City. She managed several restaurants and motels and was co-owner of "LaNell's Antiques."

Roy Anthony Powell, age 59, a resident of De Queen, died Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at his home.

He was born to Jessie James and Inez Jones Powell in De Queen on Aug. 28, 1955. He was a 1973 graduate of Horatio High School and was a former employee of Pilgrim's Pride.

Billy Dean Faulkner, age 76, a resident of Dierks, died Thursday, June 4, 2015 at his home.

He was born July 14, 1938 in Dierks. He was a retired Master Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force, was a Vietnam veteran and a member of the Dierks Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Loy and Mamie Rosana Farley Faulkner; one daughter, Anita Kay Faulkner; one brother, James Robert "J.R." Faulkner and two sisters, Helen Bernice Smith and Clara Louise Faulkner.

Dale Hankins, Th.D, age 86, died Saturday, May 30, 2015 in Tyler, Texas.

He was born Jan. 24, 1929 in Gillham. He served eight years in the U.S. Navy during the Korean conflict, 24 years with the Dallas Police Department and 23 years as a pastor with the Baptist Missionary Association of America. He served as pastor of Richmond Road Baptist in Texarkana, Texas, Rocky Point Baptist in Lula, Okla., Shady Grove Baptist in DeBerry, Texas and Friendship Baptist in De Queen.
