Mrs. Sally Harris
Mrs. Sally Mae Scroggins Scott Harris, age 84, a resident of Lockesburg, and former resident of Ashdown, died June 16, 2016, in a Texarkana hospital.
She was a 1950 graduate of Little River County Training School and a member of the New Dora Baptist Church in Tom, Okla.
She was preceded in death by her husbands Jim Scott and Lucious Harris.
Funeral services were held June 22 in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tommy Halsell officiating. Burial followed in the Hickory Grove Cemetery, Nashville.

Mrs. Ila Crunk
Mrs. Ila Justine Brooks Crunk, age 82, a resident of Dallas, Texas, died June 18, 2016.
She was employed by Texas Instruments for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband Calvin C. Crunk.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 23, at the Ben Lomond First Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Ben Lomond Cemetery.

Mrs. Eileen McClinton
Eileen Marie Clark “Mrs. Mac” McClinton, age 82, a resident of Magnolia passed away June 17 at the Magnolia Regional Medical Center.
She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by husband James Herald McClinton.
Funeral services for Mrs. McClinton were held June 22 in the Williamson Community Church with Jimmy Roden and Micah Carter officiating. Burial followed in the Pauley Cemetery.

Merrie B. Walker
Merrie Burl Walker, a resident of Ashdown, was born on Nov. 19, 1931, to Odie Burl and Minnie Purtell Walker in the Melrose Community of Lockesburg.
He was a veteran, having served in the Army. He was a barber and a member of Central Baptist Church were he served as Sunday School Superintendent and was a deacon.
Funeral services were held Friday, June 10, 2016, at Madden Funeral Home in Ashdown. Burial followed at Wright Chapel Cemetery in Lockesburg.

Cletius Irvan
Cletius "Bones" Irvan, age 87, a resident of Horatio, died Tuesday, June 7, 2016, at his home.
He was born on Nov. 5, 1928, in Rush Springs, Okla. He worked in maintenance for Weyerhaeuser and was a Navy Veteran, having served in WWII.
Funeral services were held at Friday, June 10, 2016, in the Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed in Clear Creek Cemetery.

Jeb S. Lord, Jr.
Funeral services for Jeb Stuart Lord, Jr., age 89, were held June 12, 2016, at New Chapel Hill Baptist Church in West Monroe, La. Interment followed at the New Chapel Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
He was a U.S.M.C. veteran of World War II. He was awarded the Purple Heart, Pacific Campaign with two Battle Stars, China Occupation, World War II Victory Medals and Marine Combat Ribbon.
He worked in Arkansas for the Dierks company and retired from Manville forestry office.
He was a deacon, member of gospel quartet and member of the New Chapel Hill Baptist Church.

Linville W. Monroe
Linville Wesley Monroe, age 88, a resident of Lake Jackson, Texas, died May 23, 2016, in Houston, Texas.
He was born Jan. 30, 1928, to Cleve and Jenny Monroe in Arkansas.
He spent more than 32 years in his professional career with Dow Chemical and also owned his own advertising business for more than 50 years. He was a member of Cornerstone Nazarene Church where he served as a Sunday school teacher.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Dusty Hess Monroe and two brothers, Glenn Monroe and Rayburn Monroe.
Funeral services were held Friday, May 27, 2016, at Restwood Funeral Home.

Arlin L. Kesterson
Arlin L. Kesterson, age 76, a resident of Eagletown, Okla., died Friday, June 3, 2016, in Texarkana, Texas.
He was born to Ruben Lester and Elma Theresa Porter Kesterson in Dierks on July 24, 1939. He served in the military with the U.S. Army and was retired from Tyson Foods where he was manager of the truck shop.
Funeral services were held June 7, 2016, in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel, De Queen. Burial with military rites followed in Fellowship Cemetery, Dierks.

Suzanne Watson
Suzanne Watson, age 61, a resident of Mena, died Thursday, June 2, 2016, in Fort Smith.
She was born Feb. 12, 1955, in Corpus Christi, Texas to Richard and Betty Clark-Sexson. She was owner of Rich Mountain Country Store.

Juan "Johnny" Munoz Arriaga, age 46, a resident of De Queen, died Tuesday, May 3, 2016 in De Queen.
He was born May 4, 1969, in Monterrey, Mexico. He was an electrician and a member of the St. Barbara Catholic Church in De Queen.
Memorial Mass service was held May 26 at St. Barbara Catholic Church with Father Juan Manjarrez officiating. A rosary service was held May 27 with a memorial service held May 28 at St. Barbara Catholic Church. Burial was held in Monterrey, Mexico.

Alvin Boyd Burris, age 80, a resident of Gillham, died May 27, 2016, at his home.
He was born to Walter and Florence Louise Simpson Burris in King on March 3, 1936. He was a member of the First Assembly of God in De Queen.

He was born on Aug. 2, 1916 in Hillsboro, Wisc. He was a foreman for Arizona Public Service Company and a member of the Beacon Hill Seventh Day Adventist Church.

Mrs. Joyce Lee Morris Hargis Hammer died May 20 from complications of Alzheimer's disease.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Gillham. She was owner and manager of Hammer and Hargis Trucking and a former employee of Turnwood's Restaurant and Weyerhaeuser.
