Larry Thomas Sadler, 68, of Horatio, died Friday, March 17, 2017 at his home.
He was born June 5, 1948 in Lake Village. He was a Baptist and served in the National Guard. He was a farmer, welder and a heavy equipment operator.
Funeral services were held March 20 in Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed in Portland Cemetery at Portland.

Lee Myers, Jr.
Lee Glastal Myers, Jr., 61, of Winthrop, died Saturday, March 18, 2017 at Baptist Hospital in Little Rock.
He was born May 30, 1955 in Marshall, Texas. He was a long haul truck driver, carpenter and minister. He was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Church in De Queen and Church in The Wildwood in Winthrop.
Memorial service and dinner will be held from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, March 23, 2017 with Louise Haney and Alfred Thomas officiating in the Church in The Wildwood.

John Cravens
John Wesley Cravens, 100, of Lockesburg, died Saturday, March 18, 2017 in Christus St. Michael Hospital, Texarkana, Texas.
He was born to Oscar C., Sr. and Mary Turrentine Cravens in Lockesburg on Nov. 28, 1916. He was a veteran of World War II, having served with the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a retired construction worker, as well as a farmer. He was a member of the Macedonia United Methodist Church of Lockesburg.
Funeral services will be held at 5 p.m. Friday, March 24, 2017 at the First United Methodist Church in Lockesburg. Burial with military rites will be held in Holly Springs Cemetery, Lockesburg.
Visitation will be held Friday, March 24 from 3:30 p.m. until service time.

Mrs. Betty Hedge
Mrs. Betty Jean Stewart Hedge, 77, of Grannis, died Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at her home.
She was born to Curtis Lee and Mattie Marie Miller Stewart in Fort Worth, Texas, on Aug. 26, 1939. She was retired from the Union Bank in Wickes, where she was a loan officer. She was also a homemaker.
Funeral services were held March 11 in the Church of the Nazarene in Wickes with Bro. David Baker and Bro. Leon McCleskey officiating. Burial followed in the Baker Cemetery.

Gregory "Rollover" Terry, 59, of Horatio, died Thursday, March 9, 2017 in Little Rock.
He was born on Oct. 17, 1957 in Sacramento, Calif. He was a retired welder and a heavy equipment operator.

E.C. Shelton, 51, of Gillham, died Sunday, March 5, 2017 in Lubbock, Texas.
He was born to Earnest Clifton, Sr. and Wanda Marcelle Gentry Shelton in Dallas, Texas on Sept. 20, 1965. He served in the military with the Army National Guard. He was a heavy equipment operator in the oil field pipeline infrastructure construction. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Grannis.
A celebration of life will be held at Cossatot Reef's Pavilion area on Gillham Lake at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 18, 2017. Those wishing to be seated should bring a lawn chair.

Temer Ovie (T.O.) White, 94 of Midland, Texas, passed away on March 11, 2017.
T.O. was born in Langley on Jan.14, 1923.
He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the European Theater from 1943 to 1947 under General George S. Patton. He worked at Schlumberger for 25 years.
A graveside service was held at Resthaven Memorial Park March 15.

Mrs. Juanita Hyutha Moore White, 64, of De Queen, died Saturday, March 4, 2017 at her home.
She was born on Nov. 13, 1952 in Pigsgey. She was a USDA Food Safety Inspector and a member of the First Baptist Church in De Queen.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 11 in the Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Chapel Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Mary Jo "Scotty" Scott Brainerd, 95, of Tulsa, Okla., died Monday, March 6, 2017 in Tulsa.
She was born Aug. 3, 1921 in Ultima Thule. She was the secretary of Brainerd Chemical Company and a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Holiday Island.

M.C. McElroy, age 83, a resident of Texarkana, Texas, died Friday, March 3, 2017 in Post Acute Care Hospital of Texarkana.
He was born to Tiny and Ann Simpson McElroy in Lockesburg on July 26, 1933. He was a mechanic and a Baptist.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 11, 2017 in the New Zion Baptist Church in Lockesburg, with Rev. Larry Clardy officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Community Cemetery, Lockesburg.

Mrs. Jeani Karin (J.K.) Nealy Hornsby, 28, of Lockesburg died Friday, March 3, 2017 in De Queen.
She was born June 25, 1988 in Texarkana, Texas. She was a Juvenile Probation Officer and a member of Kern Heights Baptist Church.

Lela McFall-James
Lela Mary McFall-James, died Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2017 in Dierks, following a lengthy illness.
She was born Oct. 13, 1951 to Sherman and Virginia McFall.
She was a member of Roland Piggee Baptist Church where she was a choir member, Sunday school teacher and church clerk.
She attended Lockesburg High School and graduated in 1969 from Mineral Springs High School. She attended Texarkana College and Southern Arkansas University. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and later received her Master in Higher Education. She worked with the Division of Children and Family Services for Miller and Hempstead Counties. She was on the Board of Directors for the Bread of Life Soup Kitchen in Nashville, a member of the Vista Corp and Arkansas Travelers of Faith Choir.
Funeral services were held March 5 at Roland Piggee Memorial Baptist Church. Burial followed at Graves Chapel Memorial Cemetery in Lockesburg, under the direction of Hicks Funeral Home, Inc. of Hope.

William Hendricks, Jr.
William Harland "Sammy" Hendricks, Jr., 79, of De Queen, died Friday, March 3, 2017 in Texarkana.
He was born Aug. 19, 1937 in De Queen. He was retired from Weyerhaeuser, a former teacher, a member of the Army National Guard and a Christian.
A memorial service was held March 6 in the Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel.

Mrs. Mary Harberson
Mrs. Mary Lynda Harberson, 70, of Dierks, died Friday, March 3, 2017 in Little Rock.
She was born April 14, 1946 in Dierks. She was a former employee of Baldwin Piano Company, Tyson Foods and worked at several convenience stores in Dierks.
She was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Dierks.
Graveside funeral services were held March 7 in Harmony Cemetery with Tommy Mounts officiating.

John Joseph O'Connor, Jr., 75, of De Queen, died Thursday, March 2, 2017, in De Queen.
He was born to John Joseph and Mary Rose Moran O'Connor in Springfield, Mass., on Feb. 19, 1942. He was a retired real estate agent, and a Catholic.

Mrs. Irene Wylie
Mrs. Effie Irene Wylie died Thursday, Feb. 23, 2017.
She was born Aug. 14, 1954 in Dallas, Texas. She was a caregiver and worked at Reserve Life Insurance Company in Dallas for many years. She was also a former employee of Leonard Woods Insurance Company, the Sevier County Water Association, and U.S. Able Insurance in Little Rock.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 4 in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Will Diggs officiating. Burial will follow in Redmen Cemetery in De Queen.

James Dwight Kitchens, 88, a resident of Dierks, died Friday, Feb. 24, 2017 in Texarkana, Texas.
He was born Dec. 12, 1928 in Liberty Hill. He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served during the Korean Conflict
He was a former member of Liberty Hill Church of Christ, more recently Arkansas Boulevard Church of Christ in Texarkana, and served on the Dierks School Board from 1970 to 1990. He was also a rancher and active in the timber and poultry industries.
Funeral services were held Feb. 27 in the Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel in Dierks with Scott Kitchens and Travis Lane officiating. Burial followed in Harmony Cemetery.

Velma Crane
Velma Woodward Crane, 90, of Broken Bow, Okla., passed away Feb. 2, 2017, at McCurtain Memorial Hospital in Idabel.
She was born July 14, 1926, in Edenville, Mich., to Lafa and Jessie (Westervelt) Fowler.
She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church and had lived in McCurtain County for the last 10 years.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 25 at Beacon Hill Seventh Day Adventist Church, 1446 Red Bridge Road, De Queen. Pastor Newman Hance will conduct the service.

Mildred Etzkorn
Mrs. Mildred Ann Lensing Etzkorn, 92, of Sulphur Springs, Texas and formerly of De Queen, died Monday, Feb. 13, 2017 in Sulphur Springs.
She was born to Henry and Ida Lensing on Nov. 28, 1924 in New Blaine.
She was retired from Rephan's Department Store where she worked in the material department for many years. She was a past member of the De Queen Hospital Auxiliary, Sevier County Extension Homemakers and a longtime member of St. Barbara Catholic Church and Ladies Altar Society.
Funeral Mass was held Feb. 17 in St. Barbara Catholic Church with Father Juan Manjarrez officiating. Burial followed in Redmen Cemetery.

Mrs. Margaret Ann Craft Taylor-Neugebauer, 66, of Horatio, died Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2017 at her home.
She was born to James H. and Mary Ann Craft on Oct. 2, 1950 in New York state. She worked as a line lead and also in the warehouse at the former Poulan Weedeater. She was a CNA at Wadley Regional and the former Brookewood Nursing Home.
Funeral services were held Feb. 18 in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Byron G. Sullivan officiating. Burial followed in the Mt. Ida Cemetery at De Queen.

David Frachiseur
David Edward Frachiseur, 70, of Grannis, died Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2017 at his home in Grannis.
He was born to Math Christopher and Rena Elizabeth Reid Frachiseur on Jan. 28, 1947 in Grannis. He had a bachelor of science in agriculture and was a plant manager at Tyson Foods, Inc., for almost 40 years.
He was a member of Holly Grove Missionary Baptist Church at Grannis and had served in the United States Army, stationed in Okinawa.
Funeral services were held Feb. 17 at Holly Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Grannis with Bro. John Gilbert and Bro. Jim Weston officiating. Burial followed in the Holly Grove Cemetery.
