Registration packets for kindergarten students due April 30

De Queen Primary Registration for the 2021-2022 school year will be held at the Primary on Wednesday, Aug. 4 for new kindergarten students as well as new and returning 1st and 2nd grade students. 

Parents wanting to enroll their child for kindergarten next year can now go by the Primary office and pick up a registration packet. 

All registration packets will need to be turned in to the Primary office by Friday, April 30. 

Also, if you live outside the De Queen School District and would like to send your child to De Queen schools next year, fill out a school choice form at the admin office by May 1.

Sevier County Prayer Warriors meeting

The Sevier County Prayer Warriors is a group of Christians from the churches in the Sevier County area. They meet once a month on Saturday. The next meeting is scheduled for May 15 at 11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in De Queen (it is not an FBC organization or any church organization). Singing at Antioch Baptist Church. Take Hwy. 278 from Nashville toward Hope. Go approximately 1/8 mile and take first paved road to the left which is Antioch Road. Go one mile and church is on the left. Starts at 6:30. Potluck. 

Saturday, May 1

Gillham Silver Hill Masonic Lodge meets, 7:30 p.m. at the lodge.

Sevier County Genealogical Society meets in the Sevier County Historical Museum conference room at 10 a.m.

Singing at Old Time Gospel Church. Approximately four miles south of Lockesburg on Hwy. 71. Church is on the right side of highway. Starts at 6:30. Potluck.

Horatio City Council meets at 6:30 p.m. in City Hall. 

Monday, May 4

Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 4521 meets at 7 p.m., American Legion Hut, 513 N. Eighth Street, De Queen.

Gillham Fire Department meets, 7 p.m.

Belleville Masonic Lodge #35 meets, 7:30 p.m., Lockesburg Masonic Hall.

Food pantry at De Queen Church of Christ is open from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.

Alcoholics Anonymous meets from 6 until 7 p.m. at 511 W. Stilwell, De Queen. 

EVERY MONDAY

Narcotics  Anonymous meets  7 p.m. First Baptist Church, De Queen, 1535 W. Collin Raye Dr. 

EVERY TUESDAY

Horatio Narcotics Anonymous meets 7 p.m., across from First Baptist Church, Horatio.

Every Tuesday: G.O.T. T.I.M.E. Bible-based recovery and support group meets at 6:30 p.m. at the First Christian Church in De Queen.  

EVERY WEDNESDAY

Alcoholic Anonymous meets from 6 until 7 p.m. at 511 W. Stilwell, De Queen. 

EVERY THURSDAY

Horatio Narcotics Anonymous meets 7 p.m., across from First Baptist Church, Horatio.

Celebrate Recovery at De Queen First Assembly, 1440 W. Collin Raye Dr. Meal at 6 p.m. Everyone welcome. Free nursery for 0-four-years-old.
