The Mt. Ida Cemetery Association will hold its annual meeting

The Mt. Ida Cemetery Association will hold its annual meeting at 6:00 p.m., Thursday, September 24 at the cemetery pavilion.  Anyone interested in the Mt. Ida Cemetery is urged to attend.  Attendees are asked to wear a mask, practice social distancing and bring a lawn chair.


ACT at De Queen High School

The ACT will be offered at De Queen High School on Saturday, Sept. 12 and Saturday, Sept. 19.  Two dates are offered in order to maintain social distancing.  The deadline to register Friday, Aug. 14.Students who are juniors or seniors and receive free/reduced lunches may qualify for a waiver.

New hours for Healthy Connections

The Healthy Connections clinic at 1206 W. Collin Raye Dr., in De Queen, will now be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays starting Sept. 8. This clinic is also open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursdays and Fridays.

The clinic will see patients of all ages for primary care/family medicine. Inja Brown, APRN, will staff the De Queen extended hours.


Become a CASA volunteer

At this time a child in foster care needs your help. You will be the person who will listen when no other person can, you will advocate for the best interest of these children in court, at school, and in the community. You will help them find a safe permanent home. You can support a child who has been abused and/or neglected. Become a volunteer with CASA!
