There were no emergencies reported in the Cliff’s this week, nor death, for which we are grateful. However, for the last few weeks we have had several deaths that have caused us to pause and share our sympathy, prayers and love with each family.
Friday morning the activities of my morning were changed with the awareness that a sedan had missed the curve in the highway and landed in my yard. I did not hear a thing until I noticed the Trooper enter my yard. I notice he was not approaching my door, so I decided to see what was going on. That’s when I saw the car in my yard. I am happy to report there were no injuries and the tow truck hauled the vehicle away. The driver from Hope was not injured either.
We are all getting into the holiday mood. I know this is Thanksgiving and we will engage in the once a year sit down meal with relatives we have not seen or heard from since last Thanksgiving. I hope you will say a prayer this year and heal all wounds and make everything right with them and God, so things will go well with everyone. I have my grocery list already made, just waiting for the shopping.
Everyone knows that Christmas is my favorite holiday. I have already watched over a half-dozen Christmas movies, but I have a favor to ask everyone. I noticed last year that there was not much Christmas decoration. This year I want everyone to put as much decoration as possible to light up the way for our Savior. We want the world to know that Jesus is Lord in America and there is no darkness where He is. Thank you.
The Smith family visited me this week from Graves Chapel. Miss Genseis and mother Makayla made a report on their travels, which included New York. They had a good time, but there is no place like home. We were glad they were back safe and sound.
It looks like we are getting a new neighbor in the Cliffs. We could use some more people since our community is one of the oldest in the area. It would be nice to hear children again in the community.
Irene and Milton Hendrix are on the mend. Flossie Calvin is still in assisted living and Myrtle Smith is improving. Sharon Smith-Smith had a new cancer treatment last week. She is back at home feeling some better. I am recovering from a severe bout with gout. It was the most painful thing I have ever had. I was not able to wear my shoes for two weeks. Hopefully I will be up about in a few days.
HEBREWS 4:12-16 KJV
For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of the soul and spirit, and joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do. Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. For we have not an high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities: but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
Prayers are requested for our Government and President of the United States, in this time of great testing. For we know that no weapon formed against us shall prosper. And, that all things work together for good for those who are called of God. God Bless America! LOVE IS THE KEY!
