De Queen and Horatio residents will soon have more options on their choice for Internet and video entertainment.

Dave Harwood of Vyve Broadband told the De Queen City Council earlier this month that the company will be offering high-definition television and faster Internet speeds.

In addition to HD, the company will offer XSTREAM HD, with improved picture quality and sound. But the upgrade will require Vyve TV customers to have a digital HD converter box for each TV connected to the system.

Customers will be entitled to one converter box at no charge for one year. Additional boxes will cost $3.25 per month. The company will have a distribution point at 858 E. Collin Raye Drive Nov. 5 through Nov. 8.

The upgrade should be complete on or about Nov. 6, 2018. For information, call 855-367-8983 or go to www.vyvebroadband.com.

The company also announced Internet service up to 300 Mbps will be available after the upgrade. The company will also offer bundles for Internet, television and phone.

Here are a few reminders:

• Halloween will be observed on Wednesday, Oct. 31, as scheduled. It will not be changed.

• Daylight Saving Time will end Sunday, Nov. 4, for this year.

• The annual Christmas parade will be Saturday, Dec. 1.

• The KCS Christmas train will be in De Queen on Tuesday, Dec. 4.
