To check out any item at any of the Sevier County Libraries you will need: 

A valid Government Issued photo ID, proof of address, a local phone number, and a personal reference that does not live with you and their local phone number. We all have a wide and different variety of items to check out.

The De Queen Library hopes that you had a safe and Merry Christmas and Happy New year!  

The De Queen Library will be having two story time and fun days. The first one is January 16 at 4 p.m. It will be with Ms. LaDonna and her dog Josie. January 30 at 4 p.m. is the second story time and fun and it will be about snow and the children can make snowflakes.

“Activities” every Wednesday at 10 a.m.

Amy says that she hopes you had a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. The Horatio Library will be having two children’s programs in the month of January. 

Jan. 5 will be Hiccupatoamus by Aaron Zenz and Jan. 19 The Wonky Donkey by Craig Smith. Some people think the library just offers books to check out. We have a wide variety of services such as fax, copies, lamination, notary, free WIFI and computer access for public use. 

We also have DVD’S for check out. Most of the DVD’s you are paying for at Red Box are free to check out at the library. 

We have Dominoes Thursday mornings at 10 a.m. and Bridge at 1 p.m. Stop in one of the four Sevier County Libraries and see what we have to offer. Hope to see you soon.



On Saturday, Jan. 12 the “That’s My Story and I’m Stickin’ to It” Book Club will meet at the Lockesburg Library to discuss the novel, “The Other Alcott” at 10 a.m. Ms. Wendy says that the Children’s library programs that are planned on Thursdays at 1 p.m. in January will be: “One Snowy Day”, “Germs Make Me Sick!”, “Passports / Egypt” and “Our Skeletal System”. The Gillham Library has new on the shelf “Liar, Liar”, by Lisa Jackson and “Liars, Leakers, and Liberals” by Judge Jeanine Pirro. All of our new December DVDs and books should be in by the time we reopen after the new year. We will have a story time and craft Jan. 19, 2019 at our usual time.
