On Friday, Oct. 1,tthe Lockesburg Volunteer Fire Department visited Legacy Academy preschool and grammar level students. Fire Chief Doug Currence explained the importance of fire safety and why families should have an escape route and meet-up plan in place. Local fire department member Thomas Jackson suited up as the team discussed the purpose of each piece of the fire turnouts. The presentation concluded with the firemen showing the students the fire truck.
