Veronica Rivas received a 4-H scholarship for tuition to any University of Arkansas Campus at the 2018 Arkansas State 4-H O’Rama held at University of Arkansas in Fayetteville July 24-27. In order to receive this scholarship, Rivas had to complete a 4-H record book and submit it for judging. Record keeping and completing a record book, which describes work in a member’s project, is an important part of 4-H. While it is not an easy process, the benefits are many. Completing a record book each year is the conclusion of project work for the year.
Only nine 4-H scholarship winners are selected from across the state. They are required to attend National 4-H Congress in Washington D.C. in November this year in order to receive the scholarship.
