Patrolman Jarrin Platt, with the De Queen Police Department, was patrolling on Collin Raye Drive Sunday, June 2 when he radared a vehicle driving 51 in a 40 mph zone. After making the traffic stop he observed the driver, Ramiro Angel Abrego, 31, of De Queen, had an open beer in the vehicle. He had a suspended license and told Platt he had no liability insurance on the car.

Platt issued a citation for driving on a suspended drivers license, no liability insurance and drinking on the highway.
