The De Queen/Sevier County Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce the hiring of new executive director, Mrs. Suzanne Babb. Babb is a 20-year business owner in the De Queen area and is involved in several other community organizations that promote business retention, expansion and helping Sevier County thrive and grow. These characteristics are what qualified her for the position as the chamber's executive director, chamber officials said.
Babb and her husband, James Babb, are long-time residents of De Queen and have raised two daughters, Bailey and Tayler, in the community. They are the former owners of Radio Shack, Silver Ink Books, and helped start Smart Phone EMT. Babb states that she is an advocate for the local chamber because she understands the value it has for the community and is essential to the economic growth of the county.
Babb said she is looking forward to being in the chamber office regularly as well as meeting with local business owners. Babb plans on being in the chamber office Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
