Local firefighters and law enforcement honored the 343 firefighters that died in New York City on Sept. 11, 2001, by walking down Collin Raye Drive from the KDQN building to the Tractor Supply parking lot, beginning at 8:46 a.m. Saturday morning. Eight local firefighters had planned to scale the 110 floors of the Bancfirst Tower in downtown Oklahoma City as part of annual tribute, but the event was canceled due to covid-19. Local firefighters staged this memorial in place of that event.
