The De Queen Lions Club organizes a public auction every December to raise money for Lions Club projects that take place throughout the year.  Due to covid-19 and the financial hardship that the pandemic has caused many, the De Queen Lions Club has chosen to cancel the annual auction for 2020.

With the help of local businesses and their generous donations, the holiday auction has been a success every year.

“The De Queen Lions Club would like to thank those businesses and every community member for supporting the auction in years past,” Lions Club officials said in an email.

The money raised from the auction provides support and events for the community.  It is also used to support humanitarian causes, such as raising money for people in need of eyeglasses.

While the auction will not be taking place this year, those who can and would like to give a monetary donation to support Lions Club projects can do so by contacting Noel Bard at First State Bank at 870-642-4423. All donations are appreciated.
