Van Voast

Richard Van Voast of L J Excavating/Van Voast Lime Service spoke to De Queen Rotary Club on June 3. Van Voast is involved in Paper Residuals Beneficial Re-use. This program takes Domtar’s by-products and converts material into soil nutrients. Three paper by-products are boiler ash, paper fiber and dregs. Van Voast has devised his own formula to use these elements to maximize soil treatment. Over time, this leads to increased grass and row crop productions for farmers. Service is free to landowners with minimum of 50 acres. This re-use program eliminates the need to build an additional landfill which can cost $11 million. For more information, contact Van Voast at 584-6587 or email richardvanvoast@reagan.com.
