Mrs. Elizabeth Joan Morrison France, age 79, a resident of Horatio, died Tuesday, August 13, at her home.

She was born November 30, 1939, in Rodessa, La. She was a teacher for 40 years, 33 of which she spent at Horatio and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Horatio.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Flo and Charles Morrison and her husband, Robert Harry France.

She is survived by one daughter, Anita Bowren; two sons, Mark France and Joel France both of Horatio; one brother, Don Morrison of Baton Rouge, La.; her six grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.

A memorial service for Mrs. France will be held at 1p.m. Saturday, August 17, at the First United Methodist Church in Horatio with Bro. Andrew Arnold officiating, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen. The family will be at the France home, 507 Clear Creek Road in Horatio.
