Mrs. Merle Renfrow

Merle was living in the Bear Creek Health and Living Center. Merle was born in Estelline, Texas, the first born child to Delmer Bulford Gage and Lois Lucille Caldwell Gage. She worked as a nurse aide and as a cashier. She enjoyed her home, sewing, doll collecting and loved her family. Merle was a Christian and worshiped with the Church of Christ of the Smyrna Community.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband W.M. Renfrow, Jr; her brother Maxie Glen Gage; her niece Beverly Ruth Gage Stringer; her nephew Ben H. Neeley, Jr.; and a step-grandson Danny Altenbaumer.

Mrs. Renfrow is survived by her daughters, Cheryl (Neeley) and Don Higgins and Nancy (Neeley) and Randy Gore; her sister Joyce (Gage) and Ronnie Pickens; her brother’s widow, Juannelle Wesson Gage; her aunt Carolyn Gage Avalos of Huntington Beach, CA.; a step-daughter Mary (Renfrow) and Dallas Altenbaumer of Alleene, AR.; three grandchildren, Matt Higgins, Susan (Higgins) and Mike Bishop, and Sally Higgins Allen; one step-granddaughter, Lydia (Altenbaumer) and Billy Hobbs of Pennsylvania; great-grandchildren, Althea and Cassidy Bishop; John and Clay Allen; step-great-grandchildren, Blaze, Jaydee, Cheyenne, and Charmaine Hobbs; nieces, Ramona Butler, Barbara Pickens Tozanno, Katy Pickens; nephews: Rodger Neeley, David Pickens.

A private family graveside service to be planned later.
