Mrs. Verna Kreider

Mrs. Verna Austin Sharp Kreider, age 79, a resident of Horatio, died Saturday, July 7, 2018 in Texarkana, Texas.

She was born May 21, 1939 in Foreman. She was a former employee of the U.S. Postal Service in Horatio and the Horatio State Bank, and was a member of the Williamson Community Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Othor S. and Ellie Whisenhunt Austin; her husbands, A.E. Sharp and Clyde C. Kreider; and a brother, Loye Austin.

Survivors include one son, Donald Edwin Sharp of Horatio; three daughters, Cathy Wolcott of North Pole, Alaska, Teri Cribb of Horatio and Corina Schindel of California; three brothers, Joe Austin of Texarkana, Texas, Glen Austin of Little River Club and Bob Austin of Harlingen, Texas; five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 10, 2018 in the Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jimmy Roden officiating. Burial will follow in Clear Creek Cemetery in Horatio.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday, July 9 at the funeral home.
