Ray Westbrook

Ray S. Westbrook, age 97, a resident of De Queen, died Monday, September 9, in Ashdown.

He was born the late John S. and Mallie Ray Brown Westbrook in De Queen, on May 2, 1922. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U S Army. He was a retired grain elevator operator in Lubbock, Texas, and a Baptist.

He is survived by one brother, Bob Westbrook of De Queen, a son, Cullus Bryan Westbrook of Lubbock, Texas, a daughter, Rhonda Rae Westbrook of Wylie, Texas, two grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, September 15, in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Travis Lane officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in the Crosstrails Cemetery. Funeral Services are under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen. Visitation will be from 1:30 p.m. until service time.
