This year's De Queen/Sevier County Tri-Lakes Big Bass Tournament drew in 326 entries from Arkansas, Texas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana. The event promotes tourism in our community and creates revenue for our local retailers, our campgrounds, lodging, and restaurants.

Jim Presson shows what proved to be the biggest bass caught In the 30th Annual Tri-Lakes Big Bass Tournament. Presson's catch tipped the scales at 6.46 pounds at the 9 a.m. weigh-in at Oak Grove Park on De Queen Lake.

Winner of the De Queen Auto Group 2.0 Target Bass Contest was Orville Frachiseur.

Over $11,000 in prize money was given out to hourly and big bass winners.

Overall Big Bass Winners:

1st place $1,500 - Jim Presson with 6.46 bass

2nd place $1,000 - Kevin Brown with 5.7 bass

3rd place $750 - Austin Rose with 5.69 bass

4th place $500 - Brandon Tullis with 5.52 bass

5th place $300 - Ray French with 5.4 bass


Over $1,300 in door prizes was given out from De Queen Auto Group, Southwest Arkansas Electric Cooperative, Baker's Bargain House and Sales, and the Chamber of Commerce to registered attendees.
