HARMONY GROVE — The first half was not bad, but the second half was. The Horatio juniors fell 30-0 at Harmony Grove in Ouachita County Oct. 4.
After a scoreless first quarter the home team got into the end zone on a 14 yard run with 17 seconds left in the half. A two point conversion gave the Hornets an 8-0 lead.
Big plays came after intermission. The Hornets scored on a 60 yard run in the third quarter and a 66 yard run in the fourth. The final TD came when a errant Lion snap was recovered for a TD.
Horatio’s Landon Willis rushed six times for 31 yards.
Landon Rowe had 27 yards on eight rushes and Tristan Mendoza 25 on four carries.
Nick Marsden completed four of eight passes. Willis caught two for 18 yards and Anthony Ramirez two for seven yards.
Landon Rowe made four tackles, Ely Moya three and Kevin Quiroz two.
