Both Horatio teams handily defeated Trinity Christian of Texarkana on the Lions Senior Night Feb. 7.
Horatio took the boys game 71-55 after going up 29-12 in the first period with Luke Bright scoring nine points and Logan Bevins eight.
Bevins added seven more in the second as halftime arrived with score at 38-24. The Lion lead was up to 20, 58-38, by the end of the third.
Bevins totaled 24 points, including five three pointers, in his last home game for the Lions.
Bright had two treys and 19 points.
Garrett sharp was in double figures with 11 points. Blake Pickett had nine. Kory Cunningham, Orey Chandler and Jared Bashers scored two each.
Horatio had 16 fouls and made three of a dozen free throws. Trinity had 13 fouls and made 15 of 21 foul shots.
Trinity scoring was led by Zack Franklin with 27 points.
The Lady Lions crushed the visitors 59-12. Quarter scores were 22-4, 41-8 and 52-8.
Seniors Summer Morgan and Laiken Emerson scored 15 and 14 points respectively.
Tristan Short put in 11 points. Maddie Rivas had two treys and 10 points. Madison Olvey scored six, Teresa Chavez two and Attalee Frachiseur one.
Ella Columbus had six for Trinity.
Horatio had 13 fouls and made 17 of 27 free throws. Trinity had 21 fouls and made four of 10 foul shots.
