De Queen’s Tye Lindsey makes a diving catch in right field.

De Queen’s baseball team downed visiting Arkadelphia 9-4 in a March 10 contest.

After the Leopards scored a run in the first inning and two in the second, the Badgers took the lead with four in the top of the third.

De Queen went back in front with three runs in the bottom of the inning, then added three more in the fourth.

The Leopards had eight hits, all singles. Isaiah Williamson went three for five with a run batted in.

Cooper Young  had a single and two RBI.

Xander Worthey and Ryan Shelton each singled and drove in a run. Joseph Allen and Devin Boyles each had one hit. Gage Wood drove in a run.

Boyles pitched two and two third innings, giving up two hits and two runs. Shelton got the last two outs of the third inning, allowing one hit and two runs.

Wood pitched the last four innings with one hit, four strikeouts and no walks.
