After coming so close so many times, Lexy Taylor pitched a no-hitter as De Queen’s softball team downed Murfreesboro 10-0 April 28 in a warm up for the regional tournament.

Taylor struck out 12 and walked none. An error gave the visitors their only base runner.

The game was scoreless until four Lady Leopards crossed the plate in the fourth inning. Five more runs came in the fourth. The 10th run ended the game in the bottom of the sixth.

Sydney Hill hammered out three hits, including a double, and drove in four De Queen runs.

Madison Runnels had two singles and three RBI.

Carlee Helms and Kinlee Runnels each drove in a run.

Tatyana Tramble, Bailey Ward, Kinlee Runnels and Taylor each hit a single.
