It was close for three periods, but visiting Murfreesboro pulled away in the fourth to down Horatio 22-0 in their Sept. 11 meeting.
The Lions trailed 8-0 at the end of the third quarter, but the visitors reached the end zone twice in the last period.
Murfreesboro was led by Jay Stuard who rushed for 159 yards and a touchdown. Kendrick Dennis and Gavin Rawls also scored for MHS.
Connor Barron led the Horatio effort with nine tackles. Carson McKiever and Jacen Hankins each had four. Nick Marsden made three stops. Manuel Hernandez and Dalton Dowell made two each. Matthew Martinez, Dylan Harrison, Ely Ricardo and Landon Willis each recorded one.
On offense Harrison had nine carries for 37 yards, Hernandez six carries for 33 yards and Marsden 10 for 38.
Marsden completed nine of 18 passes for 119 yards.
Willis had four receptions for 24 yards, McKiever two for 31 yards, Harrison two for 19 and Hernandez one for 15.
