School is out for the summer, but basketball goes on. Area schools have busy round ball schedules over the summer.

The De Queen girls will take part in a mini-camp across the state line at Broken Bow the first three Thursdays in June. In addition to the Lady Leopards and the hosts, other teams will include Hugo and Eagletown, Okla. Dates are June 3, June 10 and June 17.

The Lady Leopards will journey even further west to participate in a team camp June 14-16 at Kingston Okla.

The last action of the summer for the DHS girls is set for Nashville’s camp July 27-28.

The De Queen boys also will visit the Sooner State. They are slated for the June 10-11 Red/Gold team camp. Idabel, Wright City and Broken Bow are the participants.

The Leopards will scrimmage Waldron on June 7 and June 14 and Lake Hamilton on June 21.

The Horatio girls have three camps scheduled, two close and one far away.

They start with the Southeastern Okla. University camp June 2-4 at Durant, Okla.

Next is the Ouachita Baptist University camp June 7-9 at Arkadelphia.

The HHS girls will spend June 22-26 in Tallahassee at the Florida State University camp.
