The De Queen/Sevier County Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce it will once again be hosting the Annual Tri-Lakes Big Bass Festival. This year marks the 30th tournament. It is always the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend and it is a great kickoff to the summer.

Anglers get to choose between De Queen, Dierks or Gillham lakes to fish. Thanks to local sponsors, over $11,000 dollars in cash and prizes will be awarded for big bass, including five places paid per hour on EACH lake. Anglers attending the awards ceremony following the tournament also have chances to win hundreds of dollar’s worth of prizes that have been donated or purchased from our local businesses. The awards ceremony will be held at the Sportsplex pavilion on Hwy 70 West.

The Big Bass Festival is a great event for our area, bringing in hundreds of tourists. Last year 329 anglers came to fish, eat at local restaurants, camp at the lakes or stay in hotels, and buy gas. This year the Chamber is inviting anglers and their families to stay for the evening and attend the 17th Collin Raye Benefit Concert at the UA Cossatot Ampitheater, featuring music groups Exile, Ricochet and the Midnight Hurricanes.
