Youth Fun Nights at the Sevier County Fairgrounds will be held Oct. 27 and Nov. 17.

Events will include barrels, speed poles, goat tying for 10-years-old and up and goat pull for 0 to nine-years-old. Age categories are 1-5; 6-9; 10-13; 14-16 and 19-up. Entry fee is $3 per event. Negative Coggins is required.

De Queen Play Night Winter Series 2018

Dates have been announced for the De Queen Play Night Winter Series 2018 to be held at the De Queen Fairgrounds.

Dates are Oct. 12 at 7 p.m.; Oct. 28 at 2 p.m.; Nov. 9 at 7 p.m.; Nov. 25 at 2 p.m.; Dec. 3 at 7 p.m. Finals will be held Dec. 8 at 7 p.m. and Dec. 9 at 2 p.m. Contestants must attend four of seven play nights to qualify for the finals. Prizes will be awarded in each age division.

Age divisions (as of Sept. 1, 2018) and registration costs are Lead line 1-4 years (w/adult) - $3; Toddler 1-4 years (w/out adult) - $10; Pee Wee 5-8 years - $10; Jr. 9-13 years - $10; Sr. 14-18 years - $10. There is $5 office charge for all ages.

Events will include Flag race, Poles and Barrels for all ages; goat ribbon pull for 1-8 years-old; goat tying, both junior and senior and breakaway for pee wee, junior, senior (co-ed). Books open one hour before start time.

Western dress and hat is required and negative Coggins. A concession stand will be available.
